Helping airport retail soar to new heights

Following the Scratch To Win success of 2021, GCA sought to launch a like-minded retail promotion that encouraged in-terminal spending. Yet this year, they were determined to go a step further. With customer satisfaction at the heart of their campaign, GCA aspired to achieve an average of 4–5 customer experience star ratings, as well as increase retail staff engagement.

Enter the ‘Golden Ticket’ giveaway – a digital competition we created to incentivise the airport shopping experience and encourage top-notch retail service. What’s more – we captured crucial customer data to further expand GCA’s email database.  A gold star-worthy feat!

Feel the energy

At just 14 years young, the Titans had progressed from a tumultuous past, setting their sights on a bright future with a refreshed brand as authentic, entertaining and committed as they’d become.

Turning setbacks into a comeback

Tasked to reimagine the Titans brand, one the club, its players, and the city could get behind, we needed a game plan. Two years in the making and working with over 30 stakeholders including Rugby League legends, fans, sponsors, and the NRL, we defined and created a brand to put the Titans in a league of their own. 

A team effort

We tackled the task by developing a brand strategy that would signal a new era for the Titans. Informed by the strategy, a reimagined logo, style and tone of voice was defined to capture the team’s character and ambition while strengthening their connection to the Gold Coast region. The end score? A win for the Titans and the Gold Coast.

That way, we could develop something that not only represented their combined offering, but was also something each division and location could get behind.

Today, Bleach* is the Gold Coast’s premier arts and cultural festival. But this wasn’t always the case. There was a time when Bleach* didn’t have a recognisable brand, let alone a strategy to communicate their offering. Fortunately, it was a problem we’d seen before.

Building a brand a whole city could get behind

Since Bleach* first launched in 2012, we helped the festival create, develop and evolve their brand. In fact, with each year delivering an entirely new program and vision, we collaborated with the Artistic Director to align the festival’s look and feel. Our granular, targeted strategies allowed us to deliver messaging across a range of digital platforms and traditional mediums.

In the nine years we worked with Bleach*, festival attendance grew every year, reaching 90,000 in 2019. With over 11 million total media reach, 1.485 million social media impressions, and 94,286 video views in 2019 alone, we know our work had an impact.
